Blindfold Chronicle - The Porn Stars

I fucking love porn stars. i'll rephrase that, i fucking love these porn stars. and all the ones i've met because of them. it's amazing what shooting one porn star does for your social network. i was luckily enough to be asked to speak on a panel with Dylan Ryan last winter, and if i do say so myself, we hit it off instantly. She fucking fabulous, and loves bacon, which of course i appreciate. i can't really imagine a kinky queer pornster who loves bacon that i wouldn't become slightly photographically obsessed with... anyway, we decided at that conference that maybe we should explore our shared love of bacon with a photoshoot (which if you haven't seen resulted in two images - this & this). Since this timing coincided with me being immersed in blindfold shooting i invited Dylan to be a part of the project, which she jumped right into! if i remember correctly, we spent the morning shooting blindfold and the afternoon shooting with raw bacon. needless to say, one of my favourite days of shooting ever. i'll be honest, i was expecting Dylan to be scandalous. and although she wasn't all that much so, i was not at all dissapointed. i explained that people were allowed to speak during the shoot if they wanted, or they could not if that wanted to be mean to me as i would have no idea what was going on. she was silent. it was awesome. and i love the outcome.
Remember that comment about what shooting one porn star does for your social network? Jiz Lee (among other things) is what shooting one porn star did for my social network. and aren't I grateful! Jiz is awesome. they emailed me up after seeing that i had worked with Dylan saying they were gonna be in toronto and would i shoot them. would i? would i ever! i was definitley nervous, as Jiz showed up at the studio ready for blindfoldiness and i had only met them for all of 30 seconds the night before! but all nerves just melted away, because Jiz f-ing Lee is beyond lovely! we dove right in, and chatted away, all the time me having no idea what was going on. i most definitely did not know that what follows was happening. i can say this about both of these lovey folks - shooting people who have lots of experience in front of the camera is always a special treat. especially ,for this project specifically, two people who are used to being vulnerable in front of the camera! i'll say it again - I FUCKING LOVE THESE PORN STARS!!!!!
