N. Maxwell Lander is a queer photo-based digital artist and emerging graphic and website designer currently living and working in Toronto, Canada. She has been immersed in artistic photography for many years and is constantly finding new renditions for her contemporary creativity.

As one of Canada's new emerging artists, Maxwell has exhibited works across Ontario and is constantly working on new photographic series. With a string of awards and accreditations including Runner up in the Emerging Talent Category of the Nikon International Photo Contest 2008-2009, publication in the Sept 2009 issue of Photolife Magazine and the Best Overall Submission at SNAP! 2007 - a juried photographic event for the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) - Maxwell participates in the political and social sphere of the Toronto artistic community, contributing to the ever-changing art world.

Her photography attempts to draw a thin line between beauty and vulgarity, restriction and hedonism, decency and decadence - to make them all one and the same.

She had the great success of her first art show in 2008 at Good For Her, Toronto's favourite store for celebrating women's sexuality, and is presently working on several projects including a re-creation series to hopefully be shown in the next year.
